Job Description

The Jhagadia Float Glass manufacturing unit is one of the strategic investments in western India, acquired in 2011. Located at Central Gujarat, it is a state-of-the-art float glass plant spread over an area of 150 acres, capable of producing 550 MT of clear glass per day with less than 650 ppm of Iron. This sets a high quality benchmark standard within India and globally.

The campus has uniquely positioned in-house Sand Beneficiation plant with a capacity to produce 600 tons of treated sand per day. The site has positioned itself over a decade to attract future investments in India. Our people are our greatest assets.

Responsibilities
  1. Operation and Maintenance of 66 KV switchyard, HT & LT switchgears, SF6, transformer, motors, EOT cranes, Battery & Battery charger, UPS, PCC, MCC, Plant lighting & PLC, Electro hydraulic grab, and crushing equipment.
  2. Maintenance and operation knowledge in gensets, electrical Panels, Transformers, isolators and lightning arrestors.
  3. Maintenance of Soft starters & Automation systems & Basic operations of PLC's and SCADA.
  4. Trouble Shooting of AC/DC machines, & Circuit Theory & earthing concepts.
  5. Control systems & Automation systems
  6. Protection and metering devices & systems
  7. VFD & PLC applications
  8. Encoders & feedback sensors
  9. HV, MV & LV Power systems & equipments
  10. Electrical generation & distribution system
  11. Energy calculations and efficiency improvements
Required Qualifications
  • Diploma - Electrical Engineering from reputed Engineering Institutions with Good Academic record
  • 3-5 years Experience in Manufacturing / Process / Engg. Industry
