Backend Software Engineer Position

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable PHP applications and microservices with high performance and resilience.
  • Implement automated pipelines for build, test, and deployment using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
  • Enforce security best practices around network and application security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement backend systems that meet business requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the development of engineering standards.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience building production-grade Magento & PHP applications.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable pipelines with testing, linting, and blue-green/rolling deployments.
  • Strong understanding of network and application security principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of AWS services and technologies such as EC2, RDS, VPCs, Load Balancers, IAM, S3, CloudFront, Route 53 is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Codeigniter framework.
  • Skills in designing, deploying, and operating Node-based microservices or serverless functions.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
