Job Description

To be successful in this role, you need a strong background in machine learning and software development. You must have excellent communication and leadership skills to set priorities and focus on execution in a multifaceted environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Attract, hire, and inspire a diverse team of engineers, fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

- Provide opportunities for engineers to grow their careers with clear and timely feedback.

- Lead a team of machine learning engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee the entire development lifecycle from design to operationalization of robust, scalable, and efficient machine learning solutions.

- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in ML practices to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years related experience in enterprise applications with 5+ years of managing large engineering teams.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and manage high-performing engineering teams.
  • Prior experience collaborating and communicating effectively with geographically distributed teams, partners, and leaders.
  • Ability to participate in investigations into real-time and offline analysis and draw conclusions from data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in Recommender Systems, Personalization, Search, Computational Advertising, or Natural Language Processing including RAG-based Generative AI and transformer architecture.
  • Experience building data processing pipelines, large-scale machine learning systems, and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, SQL, Snowflake/Hadoop, etc).
  • Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, and experience building highly scalable distributed systems.
