Job Title: Navigation and Integrated Systems Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Navigation and Integrated Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of navigation integrated systems on vessels. This role requires strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance: Ensure all duties are in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental, and ethics policies. Comply with International Maritime Management (IMS) and relevant international rules and regulations.
  • Maintenance Planning: Propose a continuous performance improvement plan, reported and reviewed on a periodic basis. Monitor or organize the plan surveys, health checks, and maintenance of navigation integrated systems.
  • Repair Management: Manage repairs with vessel Superintendents/Vessel managers within time and budget by sourcing best solutions with key partners. Feedback and challenge repair proposals from partners/vendors to ensure operational availability.
  • Vessel Compliance: Support and monitor vessel compliance with flag and class requirements related to navigation integrated systems. Contribute to issuing experience feedback and lessons learned from vessel's navigation integrated systems to improve reliability.
  • System Optimization: Maintain up-to-date data bases of radio and navigation systems onboard, discuss with expert teams optimal lifecycle of navigation integrated systems. Evaluate and assess regularly partners and key vendors with segment purchasers.
  • Budgeting: Prepare annual budgets for assigned vessels in consultation with Expert/Superintendents/Vessel managers.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
