Job Overview

We are seeking a senior data architect to play a key role in shaping our organization's data strategy. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data architectures that enable business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our warehouse
  • Design and implement data models to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives
  • Serve as a technical lead and mentor to junior staff, providing guidance on data architecture and engineering best practices

Our ideal candidate has strong expertise in data warehousing, data modeling, and distributed computing principles. Proficiency in cloud platforms and experience with Big Data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases is highly desirable.

Requirements
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing and data modeling techniques
  • Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles - Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS
  • Experience with building stream-processing systems using solutions such as Storm or Spark- Streaming
  • Good knowledge of Big Data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, and Impala
  • Experience with Spark, SQL, and Linux
  • Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks, such as Flume, Apache NiFi, or DBT
  • Experience with various messaging systems, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Good understanding of Lambda Architecture, along with its advantages and drawbacks
