Job Title: Backend Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced software engineer to join our digital transformation initiative. As a backend engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building business applications using the latest technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, with experience in Core Java, Spring Framework, and data streaming design patterns. Experience with Apache Flink, Apache Kafka, and ELK stack is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with front-end technologies like Angular/JavaScript/React/Redux, CI/CD tools, Git/GitHub/GitLab, Docker/containerization technologies, and Microsoft Azure is applicable.

You will work closely with stakeholders to develop solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to skill-aligned chapter constructs working across the Digital Operations platform.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of new platform capabilities for real-time processing, analytics, and structured workflow.
  • Provide technology solutions that solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services.
  • Interact consistently with key stakeholders in Operations to ensure we deliver the right thing.
  • Contribute to skill-aligned chapter constructs working across the Digital Operations platform.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations for assessing new software projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing software, application architecture, and other phases of the SDLC.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Java software engineer.
  • Strong background in Core Java, Collections skills, and 8+ years of experience with Java 8 features.
  • Extensive experience with Spring Framework (Core/Boot/Integration).
  • Good knowledge of data streaming design patterns.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Git/GitHub/GitLab, Docker/containerization technologies, and Microsoft Azure.
