Project Manager - Taxation Strategy

• Develop and implement tax strategies for multinational corporations, ensuring optimal compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives, including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• Conduct detailed quantitative analysis to support clients throughout the business lifecycle.
• Manage end-to-end regulatory compliance processes, coordinating implementation of subsequent mergers and consolidations across India.
• Plan tax due diligence work, advising clients in negotiating terms of transactions and documents.
• Devising practical approaches to resolving tax issues in structuring assignments, conducting comprehensive reviews of business operations.
• Support senior management in tax planning and management of assignments, with guidance from partners.
• Research estimated service costs and man hours required for projects, drafting proposals to clients with guidance from partners.
• Continuously innovate and improve processes to achieve commercial targets effectively.

Client Management & Business Development

• Proactively communicate updates and developments on assignments to clients, serving as central point of contact.
• Develop and maintain relationships with CFOs and Tax Directors, creating high-quality professional networks.
• Identify and ideate leads from public and private sources, evaluating feasibility of new opportunities.
• Prepare pitch proposals for client meetings, devising effective sales strategies.

A/C Mining/Revenue

• Monitor industry trends and developments at the client end, identifying new business opportunities.
• Build credibility and deliver high-quality solutions, ensuring repeat business from clients.

Knowledge Management

• Understand tax compliance landscape, utilizing technology to make compliance process more effective.
• Acquire industry insights to improve current services, developing content for external events and seminars.
• Share knowledge acquired from external forums with team members, updating knowledge management database.

Brand Management

• Represent expertise and scope of service at various external forums, interacting with peers and building networks.
• Publish articles and research papers regularly, sharing knowledge and learning at external forums.

People Management

• Provide guidance and support to team members, enabling them to deliver on assignments.
• Identify challenges and provide solutions, connecting with team members regularly to ensure smooth assignment closure.
• Assess individual and team performance, sharing feedback and learnings with team members.
• Create a learning environment, encouraging team members to leverage each other's strengths.

Client Delivery

• Review information, assessing data and documents required from clients, researching all aspects of assignments.
• Support senior management in drafting memoranda, opinions, and reports, building client relationships.
• Review available information and necessary data, documenting all facts and research securely.
• Scrutinize notices and orders, sharing inputs with senior management for further steps.
• Draft appeals for review by senior management, attending hearings and proactively updating clients.

Client Support

• Offer necessary data and information to assist clients as needed.
• Capture key outcomes of client meetings accurately, sharing comprehensive summaries.

Ideation/Innovation

• Devising litigation plans and solutions to resolve clients' tax disputes effectively.

Internal Processes

• Review engagement letters meticulously, monitoring invoicing processes diligently.
• Establish and uphold data controls, performing regular hygiene checks to ensure accuracy.
• Assist senior management in updating MIS regularly, preparing service summaries.
• Ensure all facts and research are recorded securely, identifying project overruns and initiating recovery actions.
