Job Opportunity:

WhiteCoats is seeking a skilled Wordpress developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress websites, ensuring seamless user experience, implementing technical SEO best practices, and optimising website functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Website development and maintenance: Developing and customising WordPress websites based on client specifications, implementing and modifying themes, plugins, and custom functionalities, conducting internal reviews and quality assurance before deployment, ensuring website security, updates, and troubleshooting post-launch.
  • Website user experience (UX) optimisation: Ensuring the website is mobile-friendly, responsive, and easy to navigate, conducting cross-browser testing and optimising for fast load times, working closely with the design team to maintain brand consistency.
  • Technical SEO implementation: Optimising metadata, structured data, images, and page speed, following a structured SEO checklist before website launch, monitoring technical SEO compliance via tracking tools.
  • Website appointment booking tool development: Developing and integrating appointment booking features for healthcare websites, conducting pre-launch testing and ensuring seamless functionality, training end-users on using the appointment tool effectively.
  • Website issue resolution and quality assurance: Identifying and fixing bugs within a 48-hour resolution window, maintaining detailed documentation of issue resolutions, performing post-resolution quality checks to prevent recurrence.
  • Project and delivery management: Adhering to project timelines, maintaining daily progress updates and flagging potential risks early, ensuring successful website launches with minimal post-launch revisions.
  • Stakeholder communication and collaboration: Regularly updating clients and internal teams on project progress, working closely with designers, content creators, and SEO specialists, ensuring alignment on timelines, expectations, and deliverables.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, web development, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in WordPress development.
  • Experience with WordPress themes, plugins, and page builders.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and website optimisation techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve website bugs efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of website security and performance optimisation.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
