Procurement and Sourcing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Procurement and Sourcing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function.

About the Role

In this challenging and rewarding position, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and foster professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.
  • Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets.
  • Supporting in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.
Requirements

For this role, we are looking for an individual with:

  • Immersed experience in procurement teams in the switchgear industry.
  • 5-7 years of experience in procurement and sourcing of transformers, fabrication, meters, FRTU, and CT PT.
  • Hands-on experience in understanding requirements from engineering teams, floating enquiries to suppliers, preparing offer and competitive statements, discussing requirements with suppliers on technical grounds, and finalizing orders.
  • Enhanced knowledge of SAP.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (full-time).
  • Proficiency in English communication.
