Job Description

SAP Basis professionals with expertise in data archival implementation and support are sought after by organizations worldwide. A minimum of 5 years of experience in this field is required.

  • Server Administration: Add/remove authorization to file servers, add new folders with authentication to existing Windows file servers, handle annual access audits, monitor Windows file servers, troubleshoot issues related to authorization and Windows file servers.
  • Divestment: Extract and transfer archived data to buyers, create quality documentation on maintenance activities.
  • Software Management: Install Enterprise Scan application, install new patches for Enterprise Scan and WinViewer applications, troubleshoot issues related to these applications.
  • SAP Data Archiving: Activate and deactivate archive infrastructure, run catch-up archiving for new archive objects, run sweepers for existing archive objects.
  • Reporting: Attend Agile ceremonies, update work items in the ADO board and team OneNote.
  • Data Management: Incident management and resolution, assessing and handling incidents, collaborating with other technical teams, creating quality documentation on incident resolution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the smooth operation of server administration tasks.
  • Develop and implement divestment strategies.
  • Install and configure software applications.
  • Manage SAP data archiving processes.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting.
  • Oversee data management initiatives.
Requirements/Deliverables

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SAP Basis concepts and technologies. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The receiving team follows Agile practices, using 3-month planning iterations and 2-week sprints. Work progress and performance metrics are extracted from the ADO board. The team must deliver proper incident and problem management solutions, successful SAP Maintenance activities, complete assigned user stories, and deliver high-quality documentation.
