Rural Livelihoods Strategist

We are seeking a skilled Livelihoods Lead to spearhead our rural livelihoods strategy. The successful candidate will design, pilot, and scale innovative livelihood models that address rural challenges while enhancing dignity of work, women's participation, and climate resilience.

• The Livelihoods Lead will develop a comprehensive livelihoods strategy aligned with our vision and socio-economic realities.
• They will identify and design sustainable income-generating opportunities for rural communities.
• Models will be built to scale across the region and ensure long-term community ownership.

The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree in Rural Development, Management, Social Work, Agriculture, or related fields. They should have 10-15 years of progressive experience in livelihoods, rural development, or community enterprise building.

A strong understanding of social enterprises, women's economic empowerment, agriculture, and allied sectors is essential. Fluency in English and local languages is preferred.

Key competencies include strategic thinking, entrepreneurial mindset, community engagement, ability to influence stakeholders, and excellent communication skills.
