API Integration Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled API Integration Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end API integrations with new and existing partners, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with API-based systems and understanding of REST/JSON/XML protocols. Additionally, they will possess solid grasp of project management principles and proficiency with tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Trello, or similar.

The role will involve collaborating with internal IT and commercial teams to support integration processes across all phases, defining, documenting, and communicating integration requirements clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Maintaining and enhancing integration roadmaps for key clients and suppliers is also a crucial aspect of this position. Monitoring and assessing integration performance, identifying areas for improvement and leading optimisation efforts are essential skills required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end API integrations with new and existing partners, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Define, document, and communicate integration requirements clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain and enhance integration roadmaps for key clients and suppliers.
  • Monitor and assess integration performance, identifying areas for improvement and leading optimisation efforts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience delivering end-to-end API integrations, ideally within the travel technology sector.
  • Strong experience working with API-based systems and understanding of REST/JSON/XML protocols.
  • Solid grasp of project management principles and proficiency with tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Trello, or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous integrations and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—in English (additional languages such as Spanish are a strong plus).
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying highly organised and self-motivated.
