  • Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team at RSM. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement by analyzing business needs and developing solutions to meet those needs.

  • About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes and systems, as well as excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop strategies to address them.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to prioritize technical and functional requirements and maintenance of the product roadmap.
  • Identify business needs and work with the team to determine what is feasible to deliver (adherence to firm policies and standards).
  • Understand business capabilities to identify potential process redesign opportunities.
  • Define, document, and communicate requirements in work items for product development team (epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria).
  • Organize, model, and specify requirements with the appropriate level of detail given complexity, risk, and audience; represent requirements using alternative views (ex. models/diagrams) where appropriate.
  • Participate and champion all agile/scrum ceremonies (or adherence to Kanban principles).
  • Monitor sprint burndown charts to know when to ramp up/down the team to drive quality and velocity over time.
  • Education and Certification Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree (preference given to Business or Technology or Accounting major) and certification of capability in business analysis or equivalent experience.

  • Job Requirements
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies (required).
  • Highly technical, but still able to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and communicate well.
  • 5+ years of professional analyst experience.
  • Passionate about understanding client needs.
  • Thrives in ambiguity, working across multiple organizational stakeholders.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of Application integration APIs.
  • SQL queries and cloud native application knowledge are pluses (but not required).
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Business or Information Systems.
  • Prior public accounting experience with mid to large size firm(s) or other professional services experience (preferred).
  • Successful Characteristics/Skills

The ideal candidate will have creative problem-solving experience, excellent analytical skills, extraordinary attention to detail, and ability to present recommendations to business teams based on trends, patterns, and modern best practices. They will also have a passion for technology and providing exceptional experiences both internally for our employees and externally for clients and prospects.
