Job Title: Advanced Network Technician

At BT Group, we're seeking a highly skilled Advanced Network Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Network Engineering team, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional technical support and infrastructure development to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver critical customer technical support for network, hardware, and infrastructure development.
  • Execute across technical areas including systems requirements data analysis, engineering, systems design, systems development, computer programming, systems testing and deployment, quality assurance, configuration management, and systems documentation.
  • Analyse user interfaces, maintain network, hardware, and software performance tuning, analyse workload and computer usage, maintain interfaces with outside systems, and analyse proposed system modifications and upgrades.
  • Define the problem and develop system requirements and specifications.
  • Prepare required documentation including program-level and user-level documentation; enhance existing software systems.
  • Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflow.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
  • Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low to mid-level application interaction.
  • Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
  • Deliver support to include project management tasks, meeting facilitation, and ad hoc duties as needed.
  • Execute and deliver within standardised procedures in order to achieve objectives and the vision of the Network Engineering team.
