Senior MLOps Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MLOps Engineer to join our team. As a Senior MLOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of machine learning models in production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the productionization process of models, from tracked experiments to governed releases.
  • Build automation-first delivery pipelines using GitLab CI and Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Engineer scalable serving architecture for batch and real-time inference on various platforms including Amazon EKS/ECS/Lambda and Databricks Model Serving.
  • Instrument end-to-end observability to detect drift and regressions, and lead post-mortem analysis to drive durable fixes.
  • Partner across teams to translate requirements into designs and change plans that balance security, privacy, cost, and performance tradeoffs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years operating ML systems in production.
  • Experience with Python for ML engineering, including packaging, typing, testing, and performance optimization.
  • Experience developing GitLab CI/CD pipelines for ML and GenAI, including multi-stage pipelines, artifacts, evaluation gates, and secure packaging/containerization.
  • Experience deploying and operating compute resources for ML, including EKS/ECS/Lambda, and implementing secure data access patterns.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of GitLab CI/CD, including dynamic child pipelines, components, cross-project triggers, security scans, and compliance gates.
  • Advanced knowledge of Terraform, including policy-as-code, gated plan/apply, and environment promotion.
  • Expertise in real-time serving and SLO-driven rollback/automation.
