Senior Landscape Designer

Job Overview

• As a Landscape Architect, you will be responsible for developing conceptual and detailed landscape designs for residential and commercial real estate projects.
• You will prepare masterplans, layout plans, planting schemes, hardscape designs, and other design drawings.
• Collaboration with architects, urban planners, civil engineers, and environmental consultants is essential for integrated project design.
• Ensure compliance with local municipal norms, environmental regulations, and project-specific guidelines.
• Oversee landscape design implementation at project sites and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
• Review landscape BOQs, cost estimates, and construction drawings.
• Conduct site assessments, soil analysis, and feasibility studies to support design decisions.
• Prepare presentations, mood boards, and design documentation for internal approvals and client presentations.
• Represent the landscape design team at meetings with various stakeholders.
• Deliver excellent project work within agreed deadlines and budget constraints.
• Maintain open communication with senior staff regarding important design decisions.
• Verify and validate specifications and quantity computations in BOQs to ensure accurate landscape works.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings during Tendering and resolve queries as necessary.
• Visit nurseries and civil material selections for approval purposes.
• Coordinate review of shop drawings, builders drawings, and other related documents.
• Assist the liaison team in resolving statutory-related queries.
• Develop strong knowledge of Environmental/MoEF and local statutory requirements.
• Support water calculations and other supporting data associated with related services.
• Perform periodic site visits to ensure landscape design intents align with GFC drawings.
• Finalize specific material requirements for procurement purposes.
• Review material submittals from vendors.
• Respond to RFI's and resolve site queries.
• Manage design/methodology changes while minimizing cost impacts and time constraints.
• Appoint and evaluate consultants based on their capabilities and scope.
• Detailed engineering reviews are crucial for achieving due diligence and cost parameters.
• Collaborate with specialized technical consultants as required by the project.
• Review various landscape design options and address site-related concerns with consultant assistance.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve various points with Strategy, Costing, Projects, Marketing, Contracting, Procurement, Liaison, etc.
• Communicate with Facility/CRM teams to resolve service issues raised by customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from a reputable institution.
• 8-12 years of relevant experience, preferably working with landscape consultancy and developers in real estate or large-scale development projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Knowledge of other software like Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, Photoshop, and Revit is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of landscape architectural design, hardscape materials, softscape/horticulture, planting design, soil conditions, subsoil and surface drainage systems, irrigation, and lighting systems.
• Familiarity with local development regulations, permissions, and environmental norms (MoEF).
• Excellent design visualization, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects Pan-India and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
