Insurance Business Analyst

We are seeking a strategic Business Analyst with strong experience in the insurance domain and process/data mapping to join our team.

The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to analyze business processes, identify gaps, and create detailed mappings to support system implementations, process improvements, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with stakeholders across underwriting, claims, policy servicing, and IT to gather and document business requirements.
  2. Create detailed as-is and to-be process maps using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or ARIS to visualize workflows and identify inefficiencies.
  3. Define and document data flows between systems, ensuring alignment with business rules and regulatory requirements.
  4. Identify gaps between current and desired states and propose actionable solutions.
  5. Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  6. Prepare BRDs, FRDs, use cases, and user stories to support development and testing teams.
  7. Assist in UAT planning, execution, and defect tracking to ensure solutions meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Detailed knowledge of insurance industry business processes and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to create detailed process maps.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to define and document data flows between systems.
  • Experience working with business analysts and technical teams.
