About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned SQL Server DBA with expertise in upgrading, migrating, and maintaining mission-critical databases to ensure high performance, availability, security, and scalability.

The ideal candidate will lead and execute SQL Server upgrade projects, including migration from legacy versions to SQL Server 2022. They will design, configure, and manage Always On Availability Groups (HA/DR) in production environments, plan and implement database migrations to AWS (RDS, EC2, or other services) with minimal downtime, and monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL Server performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute SQL Server upgrade projects, including migration from legacy versions to SQL Server 2022.
  • Design, configure, and manage Always On Availability Groups (HA/DR) in production environments.
  • Plan and implement database migrations to AWS (RDS, EC2, or other services) with minimal downtime.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL Server performance.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience upgrading SQL Server to 2022 in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Always On Availability Groups and other HA/DR solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS database migration (DMS, RDS, EC2, or hybrid solutions).
  • Proficiency in T-SQL development, performance tuning, and query optimization.
