Accounts Payable Coordinator

We are looking for a highly skilled Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for all activities related to accounts payable, including calculating and posting business transactions, processing invoices, verifying financial data, and providing other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in accounts payable processes and a strong understanding of accounting concepts. They will also possess excellent communication skills, be highly proactive, and have good knowledge of MS Excel and Word. ERP knowledge like SAP or PeopleSoft is an added advantage.

Responsibilities:
  • Calculating, posting business transactions, processing invoices, verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
  • Reviewing invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval
  • Verifying and calculating all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating and taking discounts when applicable)
  • Checking vendor files for any previous payments and assigning voucher numbers. Preparing vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amount and coding per accounting policies and procedures
  • Identifying and implementing AP improvements
Qualifications:
  • B.Com Graduate
  • Significant Experience
  • Good communication skills & highly proactive in approach
  • Strong SME knowledge of accounting concepts
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word
  • ERP knowledge like SAP or PeopleSoft will be an added advantage
