Mobile App UI/UX Designer and AI Video Creator

We're looking for a skilled individual to design the FAM mobile app end-to-end, with a focus on mobile product design and AI-driven video creation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing user-centric experiences, creating engaging visual content, and communicating complex ideas through motion.

Key Responsibilities

• Design the FAM Mobile App: Develop a comprehensive design strategy for the mobile app, including onboarding, lifestyle questionnaire, personalized meal plans, ingredient carts, dashboards, notifications, and settings.
• Ship Production-Ready UI in Figma: Create a seamless user experience by designing and implementing components, variants, tokens, motion specs, empty states, error states, and accessibility annotations in Figma.
• Prototype Interactions and Handoff: Develop prototypes to communicate micro-interactions and 60fps feel, ensuring a smooth handoff to engineering teams.
• Run Fast Discovery and Iteration: Conduct light research, create wireframes, usability tests, and iterate quickly with product, nutritionists, and ops teams to deliver high-quality results.
• Create Short AI Videos: Generate engaging videos that explain product features, onboard users, highlight releases, and create social cut-downs using AI tools.

Must-Have Qualifications

• UI/UX Expertise: Familiarity with HIG and Material 3 design principles, as well as experience with auto-layout, constraints, components/variants, design tokens, libraries, and prototyping.
• Mobile Patterns: Deep understanding of iOS and Android native navigation, typography, spacing, and controls.
• Interaction Design: Proficiency in creating micro-interactions, motion principles, states, edge-cases, and empty-state strategies.
• Information Architecture & Flows: Experience in designing complex form designs, data-dense dashboards, and progressive disclosure.
• Accessibility: Knowledge of color contrast, hit-targets, focus order, Dynamic Type, voice/assistive support, and WCAG awareness.
• Usability Practice: Ability to write test plans, run lightweight tests, synthesize insights, and iterate quickly.
• Handoff Quality: Skills in creating redlines/specs, motion notes, and dev-ready assets.

AI Video Generation Requirements

• Hands-on with Modern Tools: Experience with Runway, Pika, Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, and other modern AI tools.
• Prompt Craft: Ability to storyboard prompts, seeds, negative prompts, in/out-painting, control nets/pose, camera moves, and iterate to brand look.
• Explainer Pipeline: Understanding of generating, upsampling/denoising, editing, captioning/overlaying, and final exporting for app and social media.
• Brand Discipline: Knowledge of maintaining brand consistency across color, typography, logo safety, tone, and content safety/IP hygiene.
• AUDIO Basics: Familiarity with VO timing, music/SFX fit, and loudness standards.

Strong Plus Points

• Motion Deliverables: Experience with Lottie/Bodymovin and Figma → Lottie workflows.
• Data Visualization: Familiarity with Recharts/Victory/ECharts specs and information design.
• Front-end Delivery: Knowledge of React Native basics, Zeplin/Relay plugins, or tokens-to-code thinking.
• Health/Wellness/Food/E-commerce: Comfort handling PII and privacy-minded UX.

Portfolio Requirements

• Mobile App Case Studies: Two high-fidelity case studies showing end-to-end thinking: problem → flows → UI → prototypes → outcomes/metrics.
• AI-Generated Video: One short video (30–60s) explaining a product feature, including prompt notes or a brief process write-up.
• Live Figma File: A live Figma file or clear screen recordings.
