Quality Assurance Automation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team at Magna IT. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications.
With your expertise in designing, developing, and executing automated tests, you will contribute to maintaining the seamless functionality of Magna's business applications and integrated systems, upholding the highest standards of quality.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline testing processes, provide expert guidance on effective testing methodologies and strategies, and significantly reduce manual efforts through automation.
This exciting opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in identifying test automation requirements and automating test scripts using cutting-edge tools and frameworks.
Your primary focus will be on utilizing Katalon Studio, Tricentis Tosca, Robot Framework, or similar automation tools to develop and maintain automated test scripts.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party teams to support and oversee testing activities.

Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in Agile ceremonies like Sprint planning, grooming sessions, stand-up meetings, demo sessions, and retrospective meetings.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases to ensure good test coverage of the features/user stories.
- Estimate, plan, and coordinate testing activities for in-sprint & regression testing.
- Developing and creating automated test scripts using Katalon Studio, TOSCA, Robot Framework, or other relevant automation tools.
- Execution and maintaining Automated tests to support functional, regression, database, and End to End testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party teams to support and oversee testing activities.
- Utilize and administer test management tools & methodologies for teams to report test progress, test coverage, and defects.
- Utilize SQL knowledge to design and execute database queries for test data validation and verification.
- Perform backend testing to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in QA automation and Desktop Automation testing.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role, with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in automated testing.
- Solid understanding of Agile testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Strong proficiency in Katalon Studio, Tricentis Tosca, Robot Framework, Selenium or similar automation tools and frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Experience with test & projects management tools, such as Jira, TestRail, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
We offer competitive compensation, including an estimated salary of $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
