Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the commissioning team for High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission plants. As a Senior HVDC Transmission Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing test phases and commissioning activities in accordance with current regulations, contractual obligations, and specifications.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the commissioning team for HVDC transmission plants;
  • Ensuring compliance with EHS standards and delegating tasks to team members;
  • Developing and implementing high-quality test plans and commissioning strategies;
  • Documenting results and updating reports;
  • Collaborating with the customer and Load-Dispatch Centre to ensure seamless communication;
  • Supporting functional and dynamic performance tests (FPT/DPT) and factory acceptance tests (FAT);
  • Monitoring costs, time schedules, solutions, and quality of engineering results.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering;
  • 7-10 years of experience in site commissioning of power transmission and substation control & protection systems, preferably with work experience in HVDC/FACTS Control and Protection Systems;
  • Basic knowledge of HVDC technology;
  • Good understanding of closed loop/open loop control systems and overall knowledge of interfaces;
  • Excellent English language skills (oral and written);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, MS Project, Primavera);
  • Familiarity with Step7, TDC, PLC, SIPROTEC, Fault recorder, DIGSI software is a plus;
  • Strong intercultural sensitivity and ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural team;
  • Open-mindedness and creativity in cooperation with colleagues and customers;
  • High commitment and willingness to perform.
