Fund Accounting Specialist

Job Description

As a Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end processes related to securities and portfolio fund valuation for client segments like Mutual Funds, Alternative Investment Funds, Portfolio Managers, etc. You will collaborate with our team of experts who will provide coaching and support to ensure your success in this role.

  • Calculating and reconciling NAV, checking income accruals, NAV movement, etc.
  • Reviewing Bank and Holding reconciliations and resolving breaks if any
  • Processing and verifying all trades for the day processed in the system
  • Valuing and pricing securities
  • Coordinating with clients for trades and coordinating with Registrars for Unit Capital files and checking and processing the same in the system
  • Monitoring email instructions for trades and other instructions including Custody instructions
  • Calculating Income equalisation and distributable surplus
  • Calculating and disseminating NAV to the Press, Registrar, etc.
  • Trial Balance Scrutiny Audit coordination and finalization of accounts
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have

  • 3-4 years of experience
  • Knowledge of Mutual Fund Accounting and operations
  • Understanding of capital and financial markets
  • Good communication and presentation skills
