Job Title: Sports Content Editor

We're looking for a skilled editor with a passion for sports and storytelling to join our team.

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Media/ Journalism, or similar discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or any other similar role.
  • Possess strong command of the English language and understanding of American culture.
  • Bring energy and creativity to articles, ensuring each piece resonates with readers.
  • Analyze article performance metrics and use insights to elevate quality of content.
  • Basic understanding of SEO, including crafting engaging headings and subheadings.
  • Leadership skills to inspire and mentor writers.
  • Passion for sports, with eagerness to cover breaking news, live events, and in-depth analyses.

About the Role:

  • Edit and publish 20-25 articles daily, maintaining high quality standards.
  • Fine-tune content, enhancing impact and relevance after publication.
  • Work closely with writers, editors, and content managers in a fast-paced newsroom.
  • Mentor writers, helping them grow and evolve as contributors.
  • Stay on top of breaking news, ensuring readers are up-to-date as events unfold.
