Senior Wiring Harness Engineer

• About the Role:

In this pivotal position, you'll design and integrate wiring harnesses for electric two-wheelers, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. You'll lead the design and development process using advanced CAD software and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring our sustainable and exhilarating machines to life.

• Design & Development:

You will be responsible for leading the design and development of wiring harnesses, including component selection, 3D routing, 2D drafting, test plan creation, and ensuring all electrical connections are efficient, safe, and compliant with industry standards. Your expertise will ensure that every line of code or bolt of hardware contributes to reshaping the future of mobility.

• Integration:

Collaborate with the vehicle architecture team to integrate wiring harnesses into the overall EV design, ensuring proper placement and routing. Your ability to think creatively and work collaboratively will be key in delivering high-quality designs that meet our exacting standards.

• Specification & BOM:

Create and manage detailed wiring harness specifications, electrical diagrams, and Bill of Materials (BOM) for production. Your meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently.

• Prototyping & Testing:

Oversee the prototyping, validation, and testing of wiring harnesses in prototype vehicles, ensuring electrical systems are tested for functionality, reliability, and safety under various operating conditions. Your proactive approach to problem-solving and analytical skills will help us identify areas for improvement and optimize our designs.

• CAD & Tools:

Use advanced CAD software to design and model wiring harnesses, ensuring high-quality designs and optimal space utilization. Your proficiency in CAD tools and ability to adapt to new technologies will enable us to stay at the forefront of innovation.

• Compliance & Standards:

Ensure wiring harness designs comply with all relevant standards, regulations, and best practices, including ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 (Quality Management). Your knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements will be essential in maintaining our commitment to quality and safety.

• Continuous Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the wiring harness design process, focusing on cost optimization, weight reduction, and performance enhancement. Your passion for excellence and commitment to innovation will help us push the boundaries of what is possible in electric mobility.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in wiring harness design and development
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as CATIA or Autodesk Inventor
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
