Backend Development Role

The role of a backend developer is to handle the work of databases, servers, systems engineering, and clients. Depending on the project requirements, what customers need may be a mobile stack, a web stack, or a native application stack.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Designing and building new modules/features end-to-end independently.
  • Collaborating with other team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Any engineering graduate or postgraduate degree.
  • BS degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in software development.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Node.js, JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds.
  • Excellence in at least one framework like Express.js or similar.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks like Vue.js or Ember.
  • Basic architectural understanding of modern web applications.
  • Coding standards and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Git and version control systems.
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Expertise with Linux-based systems.
