Job Summary

The Regulatory Reporting team at State Street is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to derivatives and other financial products. As a Regulatory Reporting Specialist, you will play a critical role in collecting, analyzing, and reporting trading data in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze trading data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports in accordance with established timelines
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to trade reporting
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to resolve reporting issues
  • Perform daily review of reportable trades to ensure compliance with reporting regulations
  • Work proactively with the Business operation teams, Compliance, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency in transaction reporting
  • Track and monitor potential onboarding issues and delays and respond to queries regarding the status of specific requests or new clients
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to reporting processes
  • Meet agreed SLAs and KPIs - Ensure consistent quality in client delivery and ensure the KPI timeliness and accuracy goals are met for the team
  • Understand end-to-end of the process (including new ones) and contribute to process improvement ideas highlighting any potential process risk to the managers
  • Understand reconciliations and respond to client queries on reconciliation breaks
  • Timely escalation of material issues to Senior Management to ensure good decision making and awareness
  • Ensure trades that fall out of the STP process are highlighted, tracked, and remediated where appropriate
  • Team will be heavily involved in all aspects of regulatory changes required, be it from the understanding of regulation changes to new implementations concerning systems, to UAT testing of the same, again ensuring a complete front-to-back understanding of the regulatory processing

  • Good working knowledge of software packages, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Good interpersonal skills and an understanding of the rudimentary aspects of the global financial industry and also to London Regulatory reporting with SFTR, EMIR, and MIFID would be advantageous
  • To be successful in this role, candidates should have a strong understanding of financial products, derivatives markets, and trading strategies, as well as familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and data analysis tools
Education and Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, B.COM
  • MS Excel and other tools
