Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backup Specialist to manage and troubleshoot backup and recovery solutions in data center environments.

This role involves ensuring data integrity and availability through the configuration and management of backup systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain backup solutions for regular data backups.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to backup jobs and tape libraries.
  • Test backup and recovery processes to ensure data accuracy.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of backup procedures and recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on data protection initiatives.
  • Monitor backup systems for performance and capacity.
  • Implement security protocols for data backups.
  • Develop expertise in networker technology.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in backup engineering within data centers.
  • Strong knowledge of backup tools, such as Veritas, Veeam, Commvault, and Networker.
  • Experience with tape libraries and data deduplication techniques.
  • Relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
