Health Safety and Environment Leader

The role of Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Leader involves ensuring adherence to health, safety, environment, and quality standards across the organization's operations. This position requires implementing policies, conducting audits, training staff, and verifying that the workplace meets statutory and company requirements related to food safety, hygiene, and occupational health.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Foster a culture of compliance with HSE policies and procedures across all units.
  • Ensure adherence to FSSAI standards, HACCP, and ISO requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of kitchen, service, and storage areas.
  • Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement preventive measures.
  • Organize and deliver HSE training sessions for employees at all levels.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of audits, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, or food safety non-compliances and recommend corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Monitor and track PPE usage and safety compliance.
  • Support external audits and liaise with regulatory bodies when required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Food Technology, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Certification in FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, OHSAS, or NEBOSH will be an added advantage.
  • 1–4 years of experience in HSE, food safety, or occupational health & safety (preferably in food service, hospitality, or catering industry).
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene protocols, and statutory regulations.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and ability to work under pressure.
