About the RoleAs a Microclimate Engineer at RWDI, you'll work closely with experienced staff to assess the impact of wind on human safety and comfort in relation to building design. Your project work will involve analyzing the structural response of buildings in complex wind environments and providing guidance to structural engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the impact of wind on human safety and comfort in building design
- Analyze the structural response of buildings in complex wind environments
- Provide guidance to structural engineers on wind-related design issues
- Conduct fluid flow modeling, wind tunnel testing, and data analysis
- Consult with engineers, architects, and clients on technical matters
- Write technical project reports and provide advice on technical problems
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental/Architectural, Aerospace, Mechanical, Structural/Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced environmental consultancy or related field
- Strong understanding of fluid flow physics and/or structural engineering principles
- Excellent coordination and consultation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment with minimal supervision
