AWS Cloud Data Specialist

The Role:

As a skilled AWS cloud data specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, distributed enterprise data solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • Develop and deliver cloud-based data engineering solutions to support business growth.
  • Design and implement end-to-end cloud data engineering solutions like enterprise data lakes, data hubs in AWS.
  • Create strong expertise in data management concepts and data modeling.
  • Have hands-on experience with AWS compute services like EMR, Glue, and storage services like S3, Redshift & DynamoDB.
  • Experience with AWS streaming services like Kinesis, SQS, and MSK.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and performance tuning experience in Spark framework - Spark core, SQL, and Spark Streaming.
  • Good knowledge of application DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD frameworks) - Experience in Jenkins or Gitlab with rich experience in source code management like Code Pipeline, Code Build, and Code Commit.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 4-8 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing cloud-based data engineering solutions.
  • Strong expertise in AWS cloud technology.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to work as a cloud developer/lead on an agile team and provide automated cloud solutions.

Key Skills:

You must have:

  • Strong experience in Big Data frameworks and related technologies - Hadoop and Spark is mandatory.
  • Good knowledge of Big Data ML toolkits, such as Mahout, SparkML, or H2O.
  • Experience in building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Storm or Spark-Streaming.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
