Full-Time PhD Position in Sustainable Development

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated candidate to join our research team focused on the valorization of waste materials.

  • Microbial Fermentation Technology

  • Biomaterials and Bioenergy
  • Circular Economy and Sustainable Development Goals

About the Project:

  • The successful candidate will work on projects related to sustainable development, focusing on the conversion of waste into valuable products.
  • The candidate will be part of a dynamic research team and will have opportunities for collaborations with national and international partners.
  • The position is open to candidates from various backgrounds, including environmental science, microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry, energy science, or equivalent fields.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 60 aggregate marks or equivalent grade in the Master's degree
  • A valid GATE score or NET is required

Benefits:

  • Full-time PhD scholars are eligible for an unconditional tuition fee waiver as part of the scholarship program
  • All full-time PhD research scholars are awarded a University Research Fellowship Stipend of INR 36,000 per month
  • After two years of enrollment and publication of at least two research papers in Q1-Q2 category journals, one as the first author, candidates become eligible for the PhD Senior Research Scholar position
  • PhD Senior Research Fellows are awarded a University Senior Research Fellowship of INR 41,000 per month
  • Each full-time research scholar is entitled to a Professional Development Grant (PDG) of INR 20,000 per annum for the first two years and INR 30,000 per annum for the subsequent two years
