About This Role

This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our business by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. As a Product Control Associate, you will work closely with cross-functional partners to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, while maintaining a strong control environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Presentations and Metrics: Prepare and review financial presentations and metrics for board meetings, finance reviews, and local management reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Audit Support: Support internal and external audit cycles, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and maintaining a strong control framework.
  • Safeguarding Requirements: Oversee safeguarding requirements related to Client Money accounts and ensure controls are appropriately designed and implemented.
  • Wind Down Plans: Assist in preparing wind down plans, capital adequacy plans, and liquidity analyses for legal entities—primarily focused on the Merchant Acquiring business.
  • Month-End Close Activities: Perform month-end close activities, including detailed financial data review, variance analysis, and delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Process Enhancements: Drive enhancements in month-end processes, promoting efficiency, transparency, and control in financial results reporting.
  • Project Management: Serve as a project management resource, supporting finance-driven initiatives and collaborating with key business stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Work with Business Managers, Product Managers, and Financial Controllers to identify, monitor, and escalate financial and operational risks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Accounting Background: Qualified accountant with 4+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with a background in financial reporting or product control.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a sharp focus on control and accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Time Management: Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
  • Collaboration Skills: Effective collaborator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a matrixed, global environment.
  • Control Remediation: Proven experience in identifying control gaps and remediating issues affecting financial accuracy and reporting.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Treasury Services Knowledge: Working knowledge of Treasury Services and Merchant Acquiring products, including cash management, payment clearing, and liquidity management.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Alteryx, Tableau, and Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Financial Systems Familiarity: Familiarity with SAP and other financial systems used for reporting and analytics.
