**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer to spearhead the development of our high-performance, real-time hotel search and distribution platform.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate. They should also be well-versed in NoSQL databases like MySQL, MongoDB, or ScyllaDB, and distributed systems using SQS, Kinesis.

The selected individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying end-to-end modules from scratch. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop low-latency microservices with high throughput for real-time hotel search and distribution.
  • Implement custom algorithms and data models to support pricing, availability, and inventory workflows.
  • Own end-to-end modules from design to rollout and collaborate with product/architect teams.
  • Utilize AI developer tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate development.
  • Participate in rigorous code reviews and contribute to a CI/CD pipeline that supports frequent, reliable, and automated deployments.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
  • Strong experience with MySQL, MongoDB, or ScyllaDB.
  • Built distributed, event-driven systems using SQS, Kinesis; solid understanding of fault tolerance, backpressure, and scalability.
  • Familiarity with data consistency models, circuit breakers, internal DSLs, and low-latency API design.
  • Proficient with Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch; have tuned systems for high throughput and sub-50ms latencies.
  • Comfortable working in a remote-first team with a culture of ownership, documentation, and async communication.
