Synology Expert

We are seeking a skilled Synology NAS expert to provide remote technical services for setup, integration, and validation of Synology NAS units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate hardware components including drives, RAM, NICs, and rail kits. Ensure firmware and DiskStation Manager (DSM) are up to date.
• Install DSM operating system and configure SSD cache and RAID using enterprise SAS HDDs. Create and manage storage volumes based on project requirements.
• Integrate NAS with Active Directory for centralized authentication and management.
• Create classroom-specific shared folders with role-based access controls for teachers and students.
• Conduct access testing and validate permissions for different roles. Perform basic system performance testing and optimization.
• Deliver best practices guide covering system usage, data protection, and maintenance.
• Conduct live walkthrough and Q&A sessions with IT team for knowledge transfer.
• Provide 8 hours of remote expert support during setup, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Synology NAS solutions.
• Strong knowledge of DiskStation Manager (DSM), RAID configurations, and SSD caching.
