Job Title: Project Procurement Lead Electrical

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Procurement Lead Electrical to join our team at SBM Offshore. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading the procurement process for electrical projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Package Engineer to ensure technical aspects of the package are aligned with procurement requirements.
  • Act as the primary focal point for vendors on all matters related to the package, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with the Group Strategic Sourcing team to develop and implement procurement strategies, including bidder lists, benchmarking, and vendor qualification.
  • Participate in RFQ preparation, bid evaluation, and vendor qualification to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies with buyers, project managers, and supply chain department managers to achieve optimal pricing and delivery terms.
  • Manage the execution of purchase orders, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Ensure vendor documents are received, reviewed, and approved in a timely manner, using the Vendor Documentation Management tool.
  • Receive, control, and close technical queries, non-conformities, and service requests in liaison with engineering and project management teams.
  • Manage the inspection, delivery, and receipt of packages at site, working closely with inspection, expediting, and logistics teams, as well as site material controllers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field of engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or similar industry in a technical and/or commercial position, preferably in a package management or engineering role.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, with a proactive behavior and ability to adapt to operational changes.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • International travel may be required.
