Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Management Information Systems Specialist. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and updating item master data, vendor master data, and managing transit days for distribution center-vendor combinations.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics NAV. They will also possess strong MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formatting, and macro knowledge. Additionally, they should have good analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong coordination and communication skills to work with multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, update, and maintain accurate item master data, including product codes, descriptions, categories, pack sizes, and more.
  • Maintain and update vendor master data, including pricing and other key attributes.
  • Record and regularly update transit days for distribution center-vendor combinations.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by running regular validations and checks.
  • Support resolution of data-related issues in collaboration with sourcing, planning, and purchase teams.
  • Prepare and publish daily operational reports for supply chain teams.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports/scorecards covering KPIs, such as supply chain, vendor performance, inventory, and service levels.
  • Consolidate data from multiple sources and ensure timely availability of management information systems to leadership.
  • Automate and simplify reporting formats in Excel, NAV, or Power BI for efficiency.
  • Suggest improvements in data entry and reporting processes to minimize errors and manual work.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, IT, or related fields.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Master Data Management, MIS, or Reporting in FMCG, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with ERP systems, MS Excel, and database management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
