Job Summary

As a Senior Electrical Engineer for Project Management and Coordination, you will work with the Project PMC group to oversee electrical engineering projects within project groups. Your expertise in electrical systems and physical designs will be instrumental in reviewing project plans and specifications for design accuracy, constructability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptual Studies and Designs: Prepare or assist in the preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.
  • Electrical Engineering Methods: Evaluate, select, and apply standard electrical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria to prepare or review conceptual studies, systems studies, design criteria, substation equipment sizing calculations, and layout engineering.
  • Component Design and Development: Design, develop, modify, and evaluate components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission, and storage of electricity, utilizing relevant engineering department procedures, design standards, and guides.
  • Engineering Efforts Coordination: Coordinate electrical engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendors, contractors, construction, and other functional groups.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Provide technical assistance and interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel to resolve complex regulatory issues.
  • Project Electrical Requirements: Assist project and construction management in identifying and complying with project electrical requirements and addressing issues during project execution.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, with expertise in EHV GIS substations, design, and project management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Experience as PMC: Previous experience as a project management consultant is desirable.
  • Engineering Work Planning and Control: Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods.
  • Construction Practices and Economics: Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved.
  • Leadership and Communication: Skill in oral and written communication, demonstrated leadership skill.
