Senior Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements.

Responsibilities:

">
  • Prepare and verify financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to optimize financial performance.
  • Comply with statutory requirements, such as tax laws and employee benefits, to minimize risk and maximize efficiency.

Accounting & Financial Operations:

  • Prepare and verify purchase and sales bills, matching with purchase orders, invoices, and supplementary bills to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Control cash, prepare vouchers, and enter daily transactions in accounting books or ERP systems to maintain up-to-date records.
  • Manage creditors and make vendor payments via NEFT/RTGS to ensure timely payment and minimize interest charges.
  • Handle LC documentation and liaise with bankers for daily operations to ensure smooth communication and minimize errors.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Compute salaries and wages, maintain salary and attendance registers to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Prepare monthly stock statements for banks (cash credit facility) to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Assist in finalizing accounts, including balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Draft official letters related to accounts and statutory matters to communicate with stakeholders effectively.
  • Prepare management information system reports to provide insights and support business decision-making.

Statutory Compliances:

  • Income Tax: Compute and pay TDS, e-file returns, issue Form 16/16A, compute advance tax, and file ITR to comply with tax regulations.
  • GST: Register, amend, generate challans, file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, annual returns, refunds, audits, and E-Way bills to comply with GST regulations.
  • PF & ESI: Make monthly contributions, generate UAN, transfer/withdrawal, register employees under PF/ESI to comply with labor laws.
  • Legacy Compliances: VAT/CST, Excise Duty – file, reconcile, and provide audit support to ensure compliance with legacy regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent with specialization in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian taxation, GST, TDS, PF/ESI, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, and ERP systems to manage financial data and processes efficiently.
