Senior Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect with a proven track record in designing and implementing cutting-edge data platforms. This role is perfect for someone with deep technical expertise in ETL pipeline design, data modeling, and data infrastructure who thrives in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data architecture principles and the ability to architect and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Platform Design: Design and implement modern data platforms using cloud-based technologies.
  • ETL/ELT Pipeline Development: Develop efficient and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data flows.
  • Data Modeling: Develop transformation models using dbt and orchestrate pipelines via Airflow.
  • Large-Scale Processing: Optimize large-scale processing jobs in Apache Spark.
  • Database Management: Tune and manage relational and analytical databases (PostgreSQL, Snowflake).
  • Schemas and Architecture: Architect and maintain schemas using Star Schema, 3NF, and SCD2 methodologies.
  • Lakehouse Architectures: Design and support lakehouse architectures and scalable storage solutions.
  • Data Governance: Implement and enforce data governance, validation, and quality control mechanisms.
  • DevOps Standards: Maintain DevOps standards using CI/CD, GitFlow, and containerization tools like Docker and Ansible.

Requirements:

  • SQL and ETL Design: Advanced proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT design.
  • dbt, Airflow, and Spark: Strong experience with dbt, Airflow, and Spark.
  • Data Modeling Techniques: Deep understanding of data modeling techniques (Star Schema, 3NF, SCD2).
  • Database Performance Optimization: Proven ability to optimize and tune PostgreSQL and Snowflake for performance.
  • Lakehouse Architecture: Familiarity with lakehouse architecture principles and tools.
  • Data Governance Frameworks: Solid experience in data governance, validation frameworks, and pipeline monitoring.
  • GitFlow, CI/CD Pipelines, and Containerization: Strong grasp of GitFlow, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Ansible).
  • Collaboration and Adaptability: Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • IaC Tools and DevOps Best Practices: Familiarity with IaC tools and DevOps best practices.
  • Regulated or Enterprise Environments: Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments with strict data governance policies.
