Job Summary:

The Role Involves Leading And Managing Independent Projects

  • Nature of the role: A full-time position requiring 5-12 years of experience in operational risk, incident management, third-party risks, business continuity planning, loss data, risk-based process reviews, internal controls, SOPs, and policies.
  • Prior areas of experience preferred: Consulting industry, BFSI experience.
  • Educational qualification expected: CA, MBA, or any other relevant master's program.
  • Preferable additional certifications: Project Management, ORM certifications.
  • Preferred geography of previous work experience: India, Middle East, APAC.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage independent projects across operational risk management areas, including internal control assessments, developing SOPs and policies, third-party risk management, incident management and reporting, loss data, and business continuity for financial institutions.
  • Review, verify, and validate existing frameworks, policies, procedures, and risk and control matrices for theoretical soundness, testing design, identification of control weaknesses, ongoing monitoring, and contribution to the firm-wide risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) exercise.
  • Meet business needs and regulatory expectations for assessing key aspects of each area under review: assessment approach, underlying assumptions, associated limitations, risk rating, and control scores, development of the framework.
  • Demonstrate independence in planning and stakeholder engagement, testing design and execution, results interpretation and presentation, production of documentation for evidence.
  • Work with a broad group of stakeholders from every part of the firm, investigating operational risk and governance standards, undertaking detailed risk and control self-assessment (RCSA), defining KRIs, undertaking KRI monitoring, establishing and linking it to loss data and incident reporting workflows.
  • A deep understanding of process risk and controls, compliance requirements, financial services industry, businesses, regulators, and their roles.
  • Responsible for proposal preparation, pitch decks, client meetings, thought leadership documents, team building, mentoring, project management, and stakeholder management.
