Job Title: Solar Project Design Leader

The position of Solar Project Design Leader is a senior role within our organization. It requires a highly skilled professional to lead the creation and implementation of solar projects.

About the Role:

This individual will oversee the entire design process for solar PV power plants, ensuring that projects meet technical specifications, are cost-effective, and adhere to industry standards. Key responsibilities include managing project lifecycles, coordinating with stakeholders, developing and reviewing design plans, and implementing quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee the entire design process for solar PV power plants, coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Design Development: Develop and review design plans, specifications, and construction documents, ensure compliance with local, national, and international codes and standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to define project requirements, present design solutions and progress updates to stakeholders, address any concerns and incorporate feedback into design revisions.

Additionally, this role involves conducting feasibility studies, staying updated with the latest innovations and technology trends in solar PV design, and implementing best practices and industry advancements.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in solar PV design and project management of single plants of 100 MWp and higher.
  • Must have design expertise to conceptualize and design the HT Evacuation infrastructure for utility scale Solar Projects.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools such as AutoCAD, PVSyst, Sketchup, and Helioscope.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) include achieving a reduction in overall design cost, attaining client satisfaction scores, delivering projects on time, maintaining compliance rates, and achieving pass rates in design audits and quality checks.
