Network Security Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto) and web application firewalls (WAFs) to protect against cyber threats.
  • Establish and maintain secure Azure networking configurations, including routing and private access.
  • Create and enforce security policies and access rules to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Monitor log files, detect potential threats, and resolve security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Implement cloud-native security solutions, such as Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools, to enhance the security posture of Azure environments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and ensure seamless delivery of secure applications.
  • Support audits and compliance initiatives for industry-standard frameworks, such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and incident response documentation to streamline security processes.
  • Evaluate new security tools and technologies to stay ahead of emerging threats and improve overall security efficacy.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 4-7 years of experience in network and cloud security.
  • Strong expertise in next-generation firewalls (NGFWs), WAFs, and Azure cloud security solutions.
  • Knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM) platforms and packet capture tools (e.g., Wireshark).
  • Good understanding of virtual private networks (VPNs), TCP/IP protocols, and application security principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
