The role of a Senior DevOps Engineer involves ensuring the smooth operation of applications and cloud platforms.

This includes designing, architecting, and implementing self-service, self-healing, synthetic monitoring, and alerting platforms and tools. Automating software development, testing, and deployment processes through robust CI/CD pipelines is also crucial.

Additionally, integrating security standards into application and infrastructure development, monitoring and securing applications using GCP Security Command Center, Cloud Armor, VPNs, ZTNs, and DMZ architectures are key responsibilities.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this position, one must have experience with cloud-based infrastructure services on AWS and GCP, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

  • Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Design and manage high-availability and scalable cloud systems.
  • Implement observability and analytics using ELK Stack.
  • Manage SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB Atlas, Redis Cache, and MySQL.

A strong understanding of machine learning model hosting and maintenance on GPU-based machines, as well as proficiency in GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git, and Maven, is also necessary.

Furthermore, the ability to deploy and manage WordPress environments is an added advantage.
