Senior Architect for Scalable Systems

Job Description:

  • Lead the development of a scalable system architecture for our comprehensive SaaS platform.
  • Translate product vision into technical requirements and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement high-availability infrastructure on AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current system bottlenecks and produce a formal Architecture Gap Report.
  • Design modular service contracts, data flow diagrams, and scalable system components.
  • Implement optimal architectural patterns (monolith vs. microservices, REST vs. event-driven) and drive cost-efficient solutions.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in an architecture or senior technical leadership role.
  • Strong full-stack expertise with MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
  • Demonstrated success in designing multi-tenant architectures and scalable systems handling 1,000+ requests per minute.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with education platforms or SaaS tools for service businesses.
  • Advanced proficiency in AWS, including EC2, Lambda, RDS, IAM, CloudFront, and Cognito.
  • Experience working with observability stacks like Datadog, New Relic, or OpenTelemetry.
