Chief Digital Strategist

Digital Transformation Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Transformation professional to spearhead our digital initiatives and software solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving innovation and efficiency across our operations by overseeing a team of Business Analysts and developing key digital strategies.

This role reports directly to the Vice President IT and is critical to modernizing our business processes and enhancing our service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• IT Software Application Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of the organization's IT software applications.
• Digital Transformation Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap that aligns with the company's business objectives.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Business Analysts/PMs. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
• Software Development Lifecycle: Oversee the entire software development lifecycle from requirements gathering and analysis to implementation and drive adoption in the field.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, marketing, and finance, to understand their needs and translate them into effective digital solutions.
• Project Management: Manage multiple digital projects concurrently, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Business Process Re-engineering: Analyze and re-engineer existing business processes to leverage technology for automation and efficiency gains.

Key Result Areas:

Digital Transformation Strategy & Execution:

• Roadmap Development: Development and approval of a 3-year digital transformation roadmap within the first 6 months.
• Project Delivery: On-time and on-budget delivery of key digital projects (e.g., new software implementation, mobile app launch).
• Process Automation: Percentage of key business processes automated and digitized.

Software Solution Implementation & Adoption:

• User Adoption: Achievement of user adoption rates within a specified timeframe.
• Task Efficiency: Reduction in average time to complete service-related tasks due to new software.

Team Management & Development:

• Talent Acquisition: Successful recruitment and retention of top talent.
• Professional Development: Completion of professional development goals for all team members.
• Employee Engagement: Positive scores on employee engagement and satisfaction surveys.

Business Process Optimization & Efficiency:

• Operational Costs: Quantifiable reduction in operational costs or increased revenue from new digital processes.
• Performance Metrics: Improvement in key performance metrics
• Process Bottlenecks: Successful resolution of process-related bottlenecks identified through data analysis.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

• Progress Reports: Regular, well-received progress reports to the CIO and executive team.
• Collaboration Feedback: Positive feedback from department heads on collaboration and project outcomes.
• Project Updates: Timely and clear communication of project milestones and changes to all relevant teams.

• Business Acumen: Ability to understand business needs, processes, and problems to translate them into technology solutions.
• Software Development Knowledge: Deep understanding of how software is built, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.

• Unified Digital Ecosystem: Knowledge of how to connect different software systems and platforms to create a unified digital ecosystem.

Educational Qualification / Other Requirement:

• Degree Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are a plus.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the industry landscape and best practices in IT management.
• Leadership Experience: Demonstrated track record of successful IT strategy development and implementation.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a technology or business-related field, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Digital Transformation Experience: Proven experience in successfully managing and delivering digital transformation projects.
• Team Leadership Experience: Experience leading a team of Business Analysts is required.
