Job Description

We're seeking a seasoned Software Quality Assurance Lead to join our Product QA division in Hyderabad, India.

  • Design, install, and evaluate quality control methods and systems.
  • Perform functional and automation testing.
  • Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance and methods.

You'll contribute towards ongoing automation, lead testing activities, and work closely with the Customer Success team on customer escalations.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves:

  • Hands-on product knowledge and participation in test case development and execution.
  • Leading testing activities, including delivery of test strategy, test plan, test execution, and status updates.
  • Contributing to automation through development of new test scripts and suite execution.
  • Collaborating with the Customer Success team on customer escalations and process improvements.
  • Multitasking across products/projects and non-project assignments, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Leading a minimum of 3-4 QA engineers from a technical perspective.
  • Serving as a process gatekeeper to ensure adherence to standards and highlighting deviations when necessary.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
Key Skills

We're looking for someone with:

  • A strong team player mentality and voice for the QA team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate within and across departments.
  • A good attitude and aptitude in software testing with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience with API & Microservices Testing, Testing API Gateways, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • The ability to be observant and analytical, with good problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality software.
Qualification

Requirements include:

  • B.E/B.Tech degree in any relevant background.
  • 7-10 years of overall experience.
  • Solid knowledge of quality assurance techniques, testing concepts, methodologies, test management tools, and software testing processes.
  • Experience with Jira, TestRail, Postman, and other similar tools.
  • Background in API/Microservices Testing/Contract testing and ERP like NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics CRM like Salesforce.
  • Exposure to REST API automation and UI automation.
  • Certifications in Agile Scrum methodology or CSTE/CSQA/ISTQB are desirable.
