Job Description

As a seasoned leader, you will drive the strategic direction of our Centre, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations and delivering impactful outcomes. Your role involves formulating and executing long-term visions, developing programs, and initiatives aligned with our mandate in financial markets research and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the Centre's long-term vision and strategy, creating a dynamic environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  2. Education and Research Program Management: Provide support for research projects, working papers, and publications in financial markets and related areas, collaborating with faculty-led research initiatives, student engagement, and visiting scholar programs.
  3. Industry and Stakeholder Engagement: Build partnerships with financial institutions, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other organizations, organizing seminars, panel discussions, and talks/lectures by industry experts.
  4. Operational Oversight: Manage the Centre's day-to-day administration, including budgeting, reporting, and resource planning, supervising support staff, interns, and research associates.
  5. Communication and Outreach: Oversee the Centre's visibility, including publications, newsletters, and website updates, representing the Centre at conferences, academic forums, and industry meetings.
Requirements
  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in Finance, Economics, Management, or related discipline.
  • At least 15 years of experience in academic and/or research institutions, regulatory institutions, financial services companies, industry associations, or other relevant organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage academic and research programs.
  • Very good understanding of financial markets, fintech, or quantitative finance is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience with academic institutions or research centres.
  • Strong professional network in finance or policy domains.
  • Familiarity with grant writing, fundraising, and donor engagement.
