Data Engineering Role

Mission Statement:

  • Develop high-quality data solutions to support business growth and drive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Ingestion and Processing: Design, develop, and deploy scalable data ingestion frameworks, real-time processing solutions, and data processing and transformation frameworks using open-source tools and data processing frameworks.
  • Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with GCP Cloud Composer, Big Query, DataProc, and other cloud-based technologies.
  • System Support: Provide system support as part of a support rotation with other team members, ensuring seamless operation of data solutions.
  • Open-Source Tools: Operationalize open-source data-analytic tools for enterprise use, implementing or validating data lineage, quality checks, and data classification.
  • Development Lifecycle: Understand and follow the company development lifecycle to develop, deploy, and deliver high-quality data solutions.

Preferred Experience:

  • Data Ingestion and Real-Time Processing: Develop data-ingestion frameworks, real-time processing solutions, and data processing and transformation frameworks leveraging technologies such as Kafka, Apache Spark (SQL, Scala, Java), Python, and Hadoop Platform.
  • Application Support: Deploy and provide support for application codes and analytical models, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Data Solutions Development: Create and enhance data solutions that enable seamless integration and flow of data across the data ecosystem.
  • Business Analysis and ETL: Provide business analysis and develop ETL code and scripting to meet all technical specifications and business requirements according to established designs.
