Job Role Overview

This role is focused on effective resource management and optimization to ensure timely delivery and alignment with customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of production planning and control principles, including lean manufacturing methodologies and 5S practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement production plans based on sales forecasts and customer orders.
  2. Collaborate with procurement, stores, and production teams to ensure availability of raw materials and components.
  3. Monitor production performance against plan and take corrective actions to minimize delays.
  4. Optimize resource allocation, manpower, machines, and materials to maximize efficiency and reduce downtime.
  5. Maintain and update production schedules in enterprise resource planning software.
  6. Analyze work order variances and support root cause analysis for delays or quality issues.
  7. Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for planning processes.
  8. Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels without overstocking or stockouts.
  9. Liaise with the Quality and Maintenance departments to ensure seamless production flow.
  10. Prepare reports and dashboards on production performance, capacity utilization, and order status.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of production planning and control in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen principles.
